Judaism Pt. 1

(Reading time: 2 minutes and 14 seconds)

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

Judaism is a really great religion! So much ancient wisdom! So many excellent teachers! As I’ve said before, I evaluate religions based on their resources not necessarily their beliefs. And Judaism has a lot of excellent resources for those of us looking to deepen our spiritual understanding!

As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, my belief about what God is comes from Judaism. The Kabbalists teach that God in his/her primary nature is the giver of divine love, God created a vessel to fill with divine love, and, when the vessel became ashamed because it had done nothing to earn God’s love, God allowed the vessel the opportunity to earn his/her love and that’s how we ended up in this whole mess! This is a really great explanation of God, it explains God’s motivation for creating us and it explains why  a loving God would allow so much suffering! It’s become my go-to belief about God!

But, I’ve found another great resource within Judaism! Over the past few years one of my favorite things on the internet has been youtube videos of rabbis explaining why Jesus wasn’t the Messiah. In particular, I’ve enjoyed the series of lectures put out by Rabbi Michael Skobac presenting counter-arguments against Evangelical missionaries who unfairly single out the Jewish people. Rabbi Skobac does a magnificent job of parsing through both the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament and explaining how Jesus Christ absolutely fails to live up to even the lowest of Messianic expectations.

At this point, you’re probably thinking that this seems like a very bizarre thing for me to be fascinated with! I am a card-carrying Catholic, after all! But, remember what I’ve said in previous posts about how what you focus on becomes your reality? I grew up in a Christian culture, so for the first thirty years of my life I had been reading the Hebrew Bible with a particular filter. Christians are trained from a very young age to read Jesus into the Hebrew Bible. And then one day I discover this treasure trove of youtube videos of a rabbi parsing through the Hebrew Bible with a very different filter than the one I had been using all my life!

I’m not saying that Christianity isn’t true and Judaism is! They’re both really great religions that have  a lot of excellent resources to offer! I just think it’s fascinating how these two traditions can read the same book and see two completely different realities! Martin Luther once said that he saw Jesus on every page of the Hebrew Bible! And he was reading the same Bible as Maimonides! Two very intelligent people can read the same book, one sees Jesus and one sees definitely not Jesus. Who do you go with? We’re all just hazarding a guess at this point!

People keep saying that one of the downsides to the internet is that people can too easily immerse themselves in information which confirms their biases! Well, the upside to that is that people can just as easily immerse themselves in information that challenges their biases, should they feel so adventurous! What better example of that can you get than a Catholic watching hours and hours of youtube videos of rabbis explaining why Jesus wasn’t the Messiah! This is a great time to be alive!

Choosing My Religion

(Reading time: 3 minutes & 35 seconds)

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

Having a satisfying spiritual life is a crucial component of living a high-energy lifestyle! So today I would like to talk a little bit about how to choose the right religion for you! Now, it may seem utterly absurd to have a street-performer give you advice on how to choose the right religion. But, I think you know where I’m going to go with this! If a reality TV star can run our country, then why can’t a street-performer give you advice on how to select a religion? In 2017 we are doing exciting new things with entrepreneurship! We used to think that governing and spirituality were dire matters which best be left to the experts! Not anymore! Anyone with enough money, charisma, and brand recognition can ascend to the highest office in the land and anyone with a laptop, a modicum of creative writing skills, and plenty of free time can dole out spiritual advice!

A common theme on this blog is that I admittedly don’t understand the universe. I thought I had an adequate grasp on the basics; humans are roughly 60% water, the universe is expanding, you should treat people the way you would want to be treated, etc. But, then a reality TV star became the Republican nominee for the President of the United States of America and everything went out the window! I concluded that the true nature of the universe is ultimately unknowable and I gave up any attempt to arrive at a correct belief system. So, as you can imagine, my approach towards religion is a little unconventional.

I evaluate religions in terms of the resources they offer, not how correct their beliefs are. So now I would like to take a few moments to demonstrate how one might go about evaluating religions based on the quality of their resources and not the correctness of their doctrines. These are just a few examples, this is not intended to be exhaustive.

First example, I think Kabbalah has the best explanation of what God is. Now obviously, I think the nature of God is unknowable, but Kabbalah offers an explanation which can account for why God created us, why there is so much suffering, and why we never see or hear from God. It’s a great explanation of God, it makes me feel like life has a purpose, and it motivates me to work hard and practice empathy! The Kabbalists’ explanation of the nature of God is an excellent resource!

Second example, I think the Anglicans have the best prayers. I’ve studied the prayer books of various religions and I keep coming back to the Book of Common Prayer. I used to love the Catholic rosary. But, having studied hypnosis at some length, I’m now skeptical about making 53 references to the “hour of our death” and five references to the “fires of hell” all within a twenty minute period. I’ve studied Jewish prayer books and I find them wonderful, but if you’re not of Jewish heritage, the wording of some of these prayers can be awkward. The Anglicans have assembled a nice collection of simple prayers which I think are fairly accessible to people from a wide array of backgrounds. And the prayers touch on all the right points; being thankful for creation, working hard, guiding our leaders in wisdom, being empathetic towards the less fortunate, etc. The Book of Common Prayer is an excellent resource!

Third example, I think Soto Zen Buddhism has the best meditation method! The meditation method taught within the Soto school of Japanese Zen Buddhism is an excellent resource!

Now some of you reading this may already have a church you attend, your family goes there, the people are wonderful, you play on the softball team! That’s great! Keep going there! It sounds like they have excellent resources! I’m not telling you which religion I think you should join, I’m just arguing for a different way of evaluating religion! The ultimate nature of the universe is completely unknowable, so we should evaluate religions based on useful they are, not how true they may or may not be! I would also like to remind you again that this blog is intended for entertainment purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional spiritual advice.

God Pt. 2

(Reading time: 2 minutes & 48 seconds)

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

I would like to spend this beautiful First Sunday of Lent continuing my discussion on God and explaining what happens when you die! I’m aware of how absurd this proposal sounds! Why would anyone listen to what a street-performer has to say about what happens when you die? But, the way I see it, if a reality TV star can be the commander in chief of the world’s strongest military, then a street performer can tell you what happens when you die! I figure that I’m just as qualified as anyone to tell you what lies beyond the grave, and that is to say, that I’m not at all qualified! I call what I’m doing here entrepreneurial metaphysics, because I’m bringing the entrepreneurial spirit to the great questions that have plagued mankind since the dawn of time! There was a time when I assumed that certain industries were beyond the scope of the entrepreneurial spirit! But, then a reality TV star became the Leader of the Free World, and I realized that pretty much anything goes at this point!

In this post from a couple of weeks ago, I explained what God is. God is the giver of divine love. God created a vessel to fill with divine love. The vessel became ashamed because it had done nothing to earn God’s love. God warned the vessel that earning His/Her love would be very difficult, take a long time, and entail much suffering. The vessel was cool with that and God shattered it. And the purpose of life is to reassemble God’s creation and finally earn His/Her love. This is a concept of God which I’ve borrowed from Jewish mysticism. I think it’s the best explanation I’ve heard so far, so it’s the one I use, and I find it very practical.

What happens when you die is implied in this understanding of God and the meaning of life. Life has a purpose and we are here to do work! So, when you die, the universe puts you right back to work! When you die, you’re either not ready to receive God’s love, in which case you get reincarnated to continue to work on yourself, or you are ready and you realize that you’d rather stay behind and help those who aren’t, in which case you get reincarnated! Nobody gets out of this thing until everybody gets out of this thing! Just think of the most frustrating person in your life (for a lot of you, that’s probably the reality TV star)! You don’t get to go to Heaven until that guy does! I think Bernie Sanders said it best when he said “my spirituality is that we’re all in this together”. We are literally all in this together, there’s no one to hate. And we’ve got a lot of work to do! So, it’s very important that we’re happy, healthy, and high-energy!

I’ve borrowed this idea from Buddhism! In the Buddhist tradition there are what are called the Bodhisattva vows. One of those vows is the vow to liberate all beings. When a man or woman takes the Bodhisattva vows, they vow to prolong their own liberation until all sentient beings have attained liberation! When a Bodhisattva dies, they get reincarnated, and they get right back to work helping those of us who are still kind of bumbling around in our own confusion! Talk about high-energy and hardworking!

So that’s what happens when you die! You get right back to work! I’d like to remind you that this blog is intended for entertainment purposes and should not be used as a substitute for professional spiritual advice! If you have any serious questions about God or what happens when you die, consult a priest, rabbi, or guru or whatever! If you have any non-serious questions about God or what happens when you die, feel free to email me at chuckishighenergy@gmail.com. Please keep in mind that I make no claim to be any kind of spiritual authority nor the recipient of any kind of revelation. What I’m doing here is simply an experiment in entrepreneurial metaphysics and I thank you for bearing with me through it!

Beliefs Pt. 2

(Reading time: 3 minutes & 45 seconds)

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

In my last post I discussed how our simplest beliefs can have huge consequences for our behavior patterns. I used this example from my own experience; for most of my life I believed that I understood the universe, then when I realized that a reality TV star was going to become the President of the United States of America I came to the belief that I didn’t understand the universe even in the slightest. This change in belief led me to quit drinking, quit eating junk food, and begin searching for the secrets to energy and success! One simple belief can make a world of difference!

Now, if you have 21 minutes to spare, I would strongly encourage you to watch this video! This woman gives an excellent testimonial about how one bad belief sent her life into a complete tailspin. She then goes on to explain how, through hypnosis, her belief was corrected and she went on to live a high-energy life and help thousands of people! All it took was one two hour session with an experienced hypnotherapist and her belief was corrected and years of turmoil were suddenly over, just like that! Very inspiring!

I can relate to her story, because I went through my own experience of meeting a “Yoda” and having my mind drastically altered for the better within a very short period of time! I had struggled with depression and anxiety throughout all of my 20’s. I had seen numerous therapists and tried all sorts of drugs. Nothing seemed to work. When I was 29 I began to explore meditation. I began attending a Buddhist temple in Battle Creek, Michigan called Sokukoji. After attending for a couple of weeks, one night I ended up having a twenty minute conversation with the head priest Sokuzan, the man I now consider my meditation teacher. I told him about my years of depression and anxiety, about my history of panic attacks and obsessive thought cycles. What he suggested to me would irreparably alter my life for the better. He told me; “When you’re depressed, just be depressed. When you have a panic attack, just have a panic attack. Don’t try to control your thoughts. We can’t control our thoughts, we don’t even know what thoughts are”.

For all of my life I had believed that I was the thinker of my thoughts, that I was responsible for every horrible idea that floated through my mind, and this belief had caused me to go to endless war with my own mind! And then one day, when I was in a very suggestible state, this old man had basically reached into my subconscious, tweaked my bad belief, and sent my life on an entirely new trajectory! This was nearly six years ago and I’ve never had an issue with depression since!

Now, it’s not at all my intention to promote Buddhism, it’s definitely not for everybody! I’m just using this as another example from my own life where correcting a simple belief drastically altered the course my life would take! When I was 29 I believed that I was responsible for my own thoughts, that belief was replaced with “We don’t even know what thoughts are” and new positive behavior patterns were the result! When I was 34 I believed I understood the universe, that belief was replaced with “A reality TV star is going to be our next president” and new positive behavior patterns were the result!

Now for the bigger, peskier beliefs, like the ones I’ve described above, you may need to elicit the help of a hypnotherapist or guru. And in that case, I wish you all of the luck in the world in finding the right Yoda for the job. I’ve got a feeling I may need to see a hypnotherapist if I’m every going to overcome my fear of bats! But, we can already begin to use self-hypnosis for the smaller beliefs that may be holding us back! You may believe that healthy food is gross, exercise is boring, or you can’t have fun without alcohol! Youtube is brimming with hypnosis videos which can correct these beliefs! Here’s one for eating healthy! Here’s one for exercise motivation! And here’s one I used in my efforts to quit drinking! And there’s hundreds more! Get to work finding the ones that work best for you! This is one easy step you can take right now to put yourself on the path to success!

God Pt. 1

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

In today’s high-energy blog post I would like to talk a little bit about what God is and what we’re doing here*. This might seem contradictory since a common theme on this blog is how I don’t understand any of this. When I realized that a reality TV star could be the President of the United States of America, I concluded that I live in a universe that I don’t understand at all. But, on the flip side, if a reality TV star can run our country then why can’t a street-performer with an exciting catchphrase tell you what God is? Just think of this as entrepreneurial metaphysics!

If there is a God, then the one thing we can know about God with certainty is that God created us. But, what can we conclude from the fact that God created us? We can conclude that God had a motivation to create us. The fact that God has motivation implies that God is, in some sense, incomplete. I was motivated to quit drinking because I felt incomplete! I am motivated to be high-energy and achieve success because I feel that I have not yet completed my ultimate purpose! This is where I’m going to lose most of you (and that’s okay). I’m claiming that God is incomplete.

As a practicing Catholic the question of God’s motivation always stumped me. Especially since, if you believe in the Catholic version of God, then you believe in a very busy God. Why is God so busy? What’s driving him/her? What could possibly motivate an infinite and complete God? I eventually concluded that any satisfactory explanation of God would have to account for what motivates him/her. I think the most satisfactory explanation of God that I’ve come across comes from the Kabbalists. There may be better explanations of God, but this is the one I’m using for the time being!

The Kabbalists teach that God in his/her primary nature is the giver of divine love. In order to complete his/her ultimate purpose, God needs a creation to give divine love to. God creates a vessel which he/she proceeds to fill with divine love. The vessel eventually becomes ashamed because the vessel has done nothing to earn God’s love. God tells the vessel that he/she will give it the chance to earn his/her love, but it will take a long time and will involve much suffering. The vessel accepts this and God proceeds to shatter the vessel. This shattered vessel is the physical reality we find ourselves in. The purpose of life is to reassemble the vessel so God can once again fill it with divine love and be complete. The purpose of life is the completion of God! We’ve really got our work cut out for us! We’re going to need to be very high-energy!

The Kabbalistic explanation of God not only accounts for God’s motivation, but it also explains how a loving God could allow so much suffering. It’s a really great explanation of God! It makes me feel like life has purpose! How cool!

Now, I’m also a deist. I believe that God is completely uninvolved with his/her creation. That’s because in order for the creation to legitimately earn it’s creator’s love, it has to do so on it’s own. So how does this reassembly come about? It comes about when all sentient beings learn to work together in love! So it’s going to take a while! But, that’s okay, because we have all the time in the multi-verse and we’re very high-energy!

In my next blog post I’m going to discuss what happens when we die! So ya might wanna check back for that!

Self-Hypnosis Testimonial

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

2016 was the best year of my life! I had many successes! 2017 will be even better! I’ll have even more successes! And a huge part of my success, not to mention my energy, is thanks to the practice of self-hypnosis!

I’m referring to this blog post as a “testimonial” because, for me, the experience of discovering self-hypnosis had a lot of the same qualities as a religious conversion. I experienced a euphoric sense of enlightenment similar to what I experienced when I was 22 and I converted to Roman Catholicism! I experienced a euphoric sense of enlightenment similar to what I experienced when I began to practice zen meditation at the age of 29!

In a previous post I discussed what I refer to as the worst week of my life, which began with a severe toothache and ended with an encounter with a bat. I realized in that week that I needed to get my wisdom teeth pulled and I needed to do something about my extreme bat phobia. The wisdom teeth problem had a pretty clear path to success; go see a dentist, get referred to an oral surgeon, and wait for my surgery date. But, what was I to do about this extreme bat phobia? As I searched the internet, one particular suggestion stood out from the rest: hypnotherapy.

Around this time I had also read Scott Adams’ amazing book God’s Debris. I found it to be the most enlightening book I had ever read! I would soon later discover that the book contained hidden hypnosis techniques designed to make the reader feel a euphoric sense of enlightenment! I was so excited by the fact that I had been effectively hypnotized by a book! As I did more research into hypnosis, I discovered that people who are very imaginative and prone to day-dreaming are often the easiest to hypnotize! “Hey!” I thought to myself, “That’s me!”. Now, I suppose that some people would be concerned to find out that they were easily hypnotized, since perhaps it could make one more prone to manipulation! And as I look on my past, I can see how I was often easily manipulated! But, I was very excited at the possibility of using hypnosis to correct unwanted thought patterns and behaviors!

I did a little bit of research into hypnotherapists in West Michigan, but I was a little hesitant about paying someone a lot of money for something that I still wasn’t sure was going to work. That’s when I began to explore self-hypnosis. I searched “self-hypnosis” on youtube and the first video it suggested was a sleep hypnosis video by a man named Michael Sealey*.

With my intention to quit drinking, one of the biggest obstacles I figured that I would have to face was sleep! For my entire adult life, I had been relying on alcohol to help me sleep! I had just figured that there was no way I would ever learn how to sleep without alcohol! But, self-hypnosis presented a new hope! I figured that if self-hypnosis could fix the sleeping difficulties which had haunted me my entire adult life, then I would already be on the high-energy path to success! I kid you not when I tell you that the very first day I ever listened to one of Michael Sealey’s guided self-hypnosis recordings was the very first day of my alcohol-free, high-energy journey! I had had an erratic and unsatisfying sleep pattern ever since I started college, but now a sixteen year struggle was suddenly gone in one day! With my sleep difficulties gone, my biggest obstacle to being alcohol-free was removed!

I was completely sold on the practice of self-hypnosis! I started searching youtube for other hypnosis videos engineered to help with other various challenges! I found hypnosis videos to help with overeating, motivation, social confidence, even jaw-clenching! There are literally thousands of hypnosis videos on youtube which you can use to aide you in your efforts to be alcohol-free and high-energy! Every night before I go to bed, I set aside a half hour to listen to a hypnosis video on my iPod. This helps me to relax and fall asleep, all while giving me positive suggestions to help me be more high-energy. I often choose what videos I will listen to depending on what areas of my life I feel could use some improvement. For instance, at the moment, I have my work cut out for me in the areas of writing and music. So, I’ve been listening to hypnosis recordings designed to help one be more productive and motivated to work!

*If you’re interested in exploring the world of self-hypnosis, Michael Sealey’s youtube channel is  a really great place to start! And if you have any questions or you have something you’d like to see me discuss on this blog, email me at my high-energy email address chuckishighenergy@gmail.com or leave a comment here or on Facebook or Twitter! A World Where Everyone Wears Chuck Taylors!

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

2016 was the best year of my life! I have had many successes! 2017 will be even better! I will have many more successes! But, how is it that I just had the best year of my life while the vast majority of people think it was totally awful? Many people have referred to 2016 as a dumpster fire! So why then did I love it so much?

It’s because what you focus on becomes your reality! I always use this analogy with people; I wear Chuck Taylors, and therefore, I live in a world where everyone wears Chuck Taylors. What you focus on becomes your reality! Because I wear Chuck Taylors, my brain immediately focuses on everyone else who wears Chuck Taylors! There could be just as many people wearing Doc Martens, I would have no idea. It’s just not what my brain focuses on and what you focus on becomes your reality. Have you ever learned a new word and then suddenly everywhere you went you kept hearing that word? That is because your brain has started focusing on it and what you focus on becomes your reality! Have you ever bought a new car and then suddenly everywhere you go you see the same model of car? That is because your brain has started focusing on it and what you focus on becomes your reality!

The good news is that we can train our brains to focus on more positive and useful things. So, for a lot of people, 2016 was the year a lot of wonderful people died and the election was totally stupid. For me, 2016 was the year I finally quit drinking, I made a lot of money doing something fun, and I discovered a secret code in reality that allowed me to become high-energy, hardworking, and happier and healthier than I’ve ever been in my adult life! Now this isn’t the same as a willful ignorance of the problems that face us. Rather, it is a recognition that we have a lot of hard work ahead of us and I’m a lot more useful to the rest of you if I’m happy, healthy, and well-rested! Rewiring your brain to focus on happier things will not only benefit you, but those you serve!

So how can we get down to the business of rewiring our brains to focus on more positive and useful things? One way to do this is to start practicing gratitude. A discipline I’ve taken up is to make a list of ten things I’m grateful for every morning. These vary from day to day, but it usually looks something like this:

  1. I have a reliable vehicle!
  2. I make more money than I need to survive!
  3. I have a job I enjoy!
  4. I have lots of free time!
  5. I have delightful co-workers!
  6. I have a maintainable diet!
  7. I’m high-energy!
  8. I have had many successes!
  9. I’m hardworking!
  10. People give me a lot of money!

If you do this everyday you will  begin to rewire your brain to focus on more positive and useful things! It will also help you to see the little successes in your day to day life! And when you see the little successes than you can use them to build the foundation for your future successes! My successes of 2016 will serve as the foundation for my even greater successes in 2017! For example, I quit eating junk food in 2016! This success will serve as the foundation for the health and fitness successes I will have in 2017! I made a lot of money in 2016! In 2017 I will do a lot of cool stuff with that money!

So set aside a few minutes every morning to practice a little bit of gratitude and together we will have many successes in 2017! And if you have any questions or you have something you would like to see me talk about on this blog email me at my new high-energy email address chuckishighenergy@gmail.com!

Don’t Waste Time On Things You’ll Never Be That Good At Pt. 2

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

In my last post I discussed how we shouldn’t waste too much time on things we’ll never be that good at. I argued that our time is much better spent focusing on our strengths and attempting to maximize results instead of trying to fix our weaknesses. One thing I’ve noticed that we’re not very good at is trying to figure out what other people are.

I was a very conservative Catholic in my early twenties and I was a student at Michigan State University. So I have very vivid memories of people calling Pope Benedict XVI a Nazi. This idea seems silly now. But, in 2005, the issue of whether or not Pope Benedict XVI is a Nazi was very much up for discussion. Just watch this clip of Robin Williams calling Pope Benedict XVI a Nazi, notice how his voice goes from silly to serious the moment he calls Pope Benedict XVI a Nazi. People are just not very good at figuring out who is and isn’t a Nazi. You’d think it would be obvious, but it totally isn’t.

This is kind of like how 500 years ago we weren’t very good at figuring out who was and wasn’t a witch. And 1500 years ago we weren’t very good at figuring out who was and wasn’t a Nestorian. In fact, most theologians now agree that Nestorius himself wasn’t even really a Nestorian. Kinda like how Calvin wasn’t really a Calvinist. Human beings are just really lousy at figuring out what other people are.

This doesn’t really surprise me too much, since I’m really bad at figuring out what I am. I can’t figure out if I’m a Democrat or Republican. I can’t figure out if I’m a libertarian or a socialist. And I can’t figure out if I’m a Catholic or a Buddhist. You’d think these things would all be really obvious, but they’re totally not!

But, the lesson I learned in 2016 is that what I am doesn’t have any real effect on all of the most important things I’m going to do today! I don’t know if I’m a Democrat or a Republican. But, I know I’m going to do a forty-five minute core-blasting workout routine this morning! I don’t know if I’m a libertarian or a socialist. But, I know I’m gonna spend an hour a day practicing Spanish! I don’t know if I’m a Catholic or a Buddhist. But, I know I’m gonna eat oatmeal for breakfast. We can do so much useful stuff and still have no idea what we are!

I keep talking about how we don’t understand any of this but that’s okay because you don’t have to understand how the universe works in order to operate it. You don’t even have to understand yourself in order to operate yourself. I don’t understand why eating oatmeal makes me feel really high-energy all day long, but that doesn’t stop me from eating oatmeal and feeling high-energy all day long. I don’t understand why this song gets me pumped up, but that doesn’t stop me from listening to it and getting totally pumped up!

In 2017, lots of people are going to try to waste your time with useless discussions about what other people are or what you are. Don’t waste too much time on this! It’s something that human beings are inherently bad at! Eat oatmeal and exercise! Learn a new skill! Together we will have many successes in 2017! And if you have any questions or you have an idea for something you would like to see me write about on this blog, feel free to email me at my new high-energy email address chuckishighenergy@gmail.com!

Why Is This Blog Unique?

Hey, you guys! Chuck here!

In my last blog post I explained who I am (a 35 year old para-pro/street-performer from West Michigan) and what I am doing here (teaching you my personal secrets for energy and success). I explained that when the reality TV star became the Republican nominee for the President of the United States of America, I realized that I don’t understand any of this and that if I’m going to live in a universe that I don’t understand I should at least be really high-energy! I likened the universe to a car, in that I don’t understand how it works and yet I can still operate it!

Once I accepted that I don’t understand any of this, I began looking for the secrets to being high-energy and successful. I devoured self-help books and I watched hundreds of hours of youtube videos of motivational speakers, psychologists, entrepreneurs, and spiritual gurus. I began learning the secrets to being high-energy and started applying them to my life. I studied the wisdom of the great mystics and gurus of the last 3,000 years and looked for the common themes they all shared.

In this blog I am going to discuss the secrets to energy and success! But, if you’re familiar with Tony Robbins, Dale Carnegie, or even Ric Flair, it won’t be anything new! In this blog I’m going to discuss how, much like a car, we can operate the universe even though we don’t know how it works! But, if you’ve studied Socrates, Bodhidharma, or even Alan Watts, it won’t be anything new!

So what makes this blog unique?

What makes this blog unique is that I am not speaking to you from the pinnacle of success! Other writers reach the top of the mountain and then, looking down at all of their accomplishments, tell you what their secrets to success are. They have the luxury of looking back and cherry-picking all of the good stuff. What I’m doing here is kind of like a self-help book in reverse. I’m still climbing the mountain! As I climb, I’m going to tell you what tools I will use to succeed! When I achieve success, the lessons I taught along the way will be more convincing because you watched me as I used them!

I have had many successes and I will continue to have many more successes. But, in many ways, I’m not what society would consider a successful person. I’m 35, living with my mom, making around twelve grand a year. I have experienced many failures and frustrations. But, that is turning around now that I’ve started using the tools to success. I’ve quit drinking, I’m making more money than I spend, I’ve lost a lot of weight, and I’m very high-energy! These successes will serve as the groundwork for my future successes! I’m going to have many successes and I plan on sharing all of it with you!
